Over the past 60 years, the organization has reached over 65,000 children through 32 SOS Children’s Villages and 28 community projects in India, positively impacting over 83,000 lives. It continues to provide children without parental care or at the risk of losing it, a value chain of quality care services that goes beyond childcare alone, to ensure comprehensive child development as well as ways to strengthen communities and families as a preventive measure in the fight against abandonment and social neglect.
(1) Participation in long and short-term strategy development for SOS CVI
(2) Building and maintaining strategic partnerships with external stakeholders in the government, media, and private sector.
(3) Enhancing the visibility and influence of SOS CVI through proactive engagement in media and in the industry.
(1) Innovation in various fundraising marketing initiatives.
(2) Pragmatic leadership in implementing the 2030 Strategy of self-sustainability.
Ensuring fund raising and branding efforts are:
(1) Aligned with the mission and values of SOS CVI.
(2) Prioritize child-centred, rights-based approaches.
(1) Collaboration with program teams and aligning them with donor expectations
(2) Supporting SOS CVI programs through various initiatives for showcasing impact and results.
(1) Delivering measurable results through defined KPIs.
(2) Ensuring cost-effectiveness and value-for-money in all fundraising activities.
(3) Leading with a results-based, data-informed mindset.
Clear commitment to ethical leadership and personal accountability.
(1) Develop and lead the implementation of the Fund Development & Communication strategy aligned with the organization's strategic goals;
(2) Ensure alignment of fundraising goals with long-term sustainability objectives of the organization;
(3) Maintain strategic partnerships with local, national, and international donors and stakeholders;
(1) Design and execute integrated fundraising campaigns across:
(a) Individual Partnership
(b) Corporate Partnership
(c) HNI engagement
(d) Institutional donors

(2) Expand and diversify income sources, focusing on unrestricted funding growth and donor retention;
(3) Strengthen donor stewardship systems to ensure a positive donor experience and long-term commitment through end to end servicing;
(4) Identify and leverage new channels and technologies for fundraising (e.g., digital fundraising, peer-to-peer platforms, events).
(1) Lead the development of the communication and brand strategy to increase visibility and support fundraising;
(2) Ensure consistent messaging across all internal and external communication platforms (print, online, media);
(3) Strengthen the MA’s reputation and positioning as a thought leader and child rights organization;
(4) Oversee content creation, PR campaigns, success stories, and crisis communication management;
(5) Manage PR and Media Relations.
(1) Build, mentor, and lead high-performing fundraising and communication teams;
(2) Foster a results-driven and collaborative culture focused on innovation, integrity, and accountability;
(3) Monitor, evaluate, and adapt fundraising and communication performance through measurable KPIs and impact.
(1) Prepare, monitor, and manage annual budgets for fund development and communications;
(2) Ensure compliance with all legal, donor, and organizational reporting requirements;
(3) Provide regular performance updates to the Secretary General/ CEO and Board as required;
(4) Drive the targets of acquisition and retention in Corporate and individual partnership vertical with focus on ROI and cost of operations.
Applicants must have a Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communication, or related field.
(1) Minimum 15–17 years of relevant experience in fundraising, marketing, and communications, preferably in the development/ non-profit sector;
(2) Proven track record in leading successful fundraising campaigns and securing high-value partnerships;
(3) Strong understanding of donor management, digital marketing, and brand positioning;
(4) Experience working in multicultural and multi-stakeholder environments.

The incumbent must commit to the organization's Child Protection Policy and ensure its implementation in all fundraising and communication activities.
Gross compensation budgeted for the position is attractive and in alignment with salaries paid by leading I/NGOs for similar roles. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
