Peppermint is an autonomous robotics company co-started out of SINE IIT-Bombay and supported by Qualcomm. With a focused goal of expediting the advent of service robots, Peppermint designs and makes commercial housekeeping robots from its factory in Pune and works across from its offices in Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore, Dubai and Austin.
Overview
The Business Development Executive/Specialist will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and expand market share. This role requires a highly motivated individual with a strong understanding of [Your Industry/Product/Service] who can strategically engage with potential clients, build lasting relationships, and navigate complex sales cycles from lead generation to deal closure.

Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering OR MBA in Marketing and Sales.
Experienced Required
What The Work Looks Like:
- 2–4 years of experience in Business development or sales preferably in Material Handling, Robotics, or Manufacturing industries.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Should have good experience with B2B business development.
- Should have worked with global clients or has worked with global environment company.
- Ability to develop and implement effective strategies
- Proven record of success with the entire sales process, from planning to closing
- Ability to travel as per business need on required time.
- Should have engineering background with MBA preferred.
Key Responsibility
Market Research & Opportunity Identification
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and potential client segments within [Material Handling or Robotics Engineering].
- Analyze market data, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform strategic decisions.
Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Generate new leads through various channels including cold outreach (calls, emails), networking, industry events, social selling, and inbound inquiries.
- Qualify leads to determine potential alignment with company offerings and strategic objectives.
Relationship Building & Client Engagement
- Initiate and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target organizations.
- Conduct initial needs assessments and discovery calls to understand client challenges and objectives.
- Represent the company professionally at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
Solution Development & Presentation
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Sales, Product, Marketing, Technical) to understand product/service capabilities and develop tailored solutions that address client needs.
- Create and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients.
Negotiation & Deal Closure
- Lead negotiations to close complex deals, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions.
- Prepare and manage contracts, ensuring all agreements comply with company policies and legal requirements.
Sales Pipeline Management
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline using CRM software ([e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot]).
- Provide regular forecasts and reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and revenue projections.
Strategic Planning & Collaboration
- Contribute to the development of overall business development strategies, sales targets, and market penetration plans.
- Work closely with marketing to align lead generation efforts and campaign strategies.
- Collaborate with customer success teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and long-term satisfaction.
