JOB DESCRIPTION

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager with exceptional communication and persuasion skills to manage and convert our lead pipeline. This role requires a strategic thinker who can nurture warm leads, activate cold leads, and convert them into hot opportunities that drive revenue growth. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with potential franchisees, corporate clients, and strategic partners across the UK food chain industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead Management & Conversion

  • Manage and prioritize warm, cold, and hot leads through the entire sales pipeline
  • Develop and implement strategies to convert cold leads into warm prospects through personalized outreach
  • Nurture warm leads with targeted engagement and value propositions to move them to hot lead status
  • Convert hot leads into signed contracts and successful partnerships
  • Maintain accurate lead tracking and pipeline management in CRM system
  • Conduct lead qualification to identify high-potential opportunities
  • Set and achieve monthly/quarterly lead conversion targets

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the UK food chain market
  • Develop compelling business proposals and presentations tailored to client needs
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings, virtual presentations, and site visits with prospects
  • Negotiate contract terms and close deals effectively
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs consistently
  • Develop strategic partnerships with franchisees, suppliers, and corporate clients

Communication & Relationship Building

  • Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills in all client interactions
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with prospects and clients
  • Use persuasive communication techniques to influence decision-makers
  • Conduct consultative sales conversations to understand client needs and pain points
  • Present compelling value propositions that address specific client challenges
  • Handle objections professionally and convert concerns into opportunities
  • Follow up consistently and professionally with prospects at all stages

Marketing & Brand Promotion

  • Leverage marketing skills to promote company offerings and value propositions
  • Collaborate with marketing team to develop targeted campaigns for lead generation
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in the UK food chain sector
  • Provide feedback to marketing team on effective messaging and positioning
  • Create and deliver persuasive marketing materials and sales presentations
  • Utilize social media and digital channels to engage prospects and build brand awareness

Strategy & Reporting

  • Develop and execute territory-specific business development strategies
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management
  • Track and report on lead conversion metrics and sales performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless client onboarding
  • Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to inform business strategy

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 5+ years of proven experience in business development, B2B sales, or account management
  • Demonstrated track record of managing and converting cold and warm leads into successful deals
  • Experience in the food industry, hospitality, franchising, or retail sector highly preferred
  • Proven success in meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Experience working in the UK market with understanding of local business culture

  • Strong understanding of sales processes and pipeline management

  • Understanding of UK food chain industry dynamics

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) - Advanced level
  • Experience with sales automation and lead management tools
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a plus
  • Data analysis and reporting capabilities

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)

  • Number of cold leads converted to warm leads monthly
  • Number of warm leads converted to hot leads monthly
  • Hot lead to closed deal conversion rate
  • Monthly and quarterly revenue targets achievement
  • Number of new clients/partners acquired
  • Sales pipeline value and velocity
  • Average deal size and contract value

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
