About the Role

Equations PR & Media is seeking a proactive and driven Business Development Manager


Key Responsibilities


1. Lead Generation & Brand Targeting

  • Identify, research, and shortlist relevant brands across industries for PR and media outreach.
  • Develop and maintain a structured BD pipeline aligned with service offerings.
  • Track market trends, competitor activities, and industry movements.

2. High-Volume Outreach

  • Make

    50–60 BD calls per day

    to potential clients.
  • Send targeted

    cold emails

    and follow-ups to initiate conversations.
  • Execute multi-touch outreach strategies to improve lead conversion.

3. Lead Nurturing & Relationship Building

  • Conduct discovery calls and introductory meetings with prospects.
  • Nurture warm leads through consistent follow-ups and value-driven conversations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients.

4. Research & Data Management

  • Conduct in-depth brand, competitor, and market research.
  • Maintain accurate BD logs, trackers, and databases with strong data hygiene.
  • Use Excel/Google Sheets to track outreach, conversions, and revenue projections.

6. Support for Founder's Podcast – Breakthrough Moments

  • Contribute to

    guest research

    , background checks, and shortlisting potential profiles for the show.
  • Assist in gathering insights and data relevant to podcast outreach and collaborations.

7. Reporting & Coordination

  • Share weekly reports on outreach performance, lead status, and sales metrics.
  • Collaborate closely with the Founder and internal teams to align BD objectives with business priorities.
  • Facilitate smooth onboarding and handover for newly closed clients.


Requirements

  • 1–4 years of experience in Business Development, preferably with PR, media, or advertising agencies.
  • Strong communication, persuasion, and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of basic PR, brand positioning, and media services.
  • High proficiency in

    Excel

    , data management, and documentation.
  • Comfortable with high-volume outbound calling and cold outreach.
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, organised, and disciplined.
