Job Description – Brand & Business Development Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Brand & Business Development Manager to lead our brand-building, e-commerce, and distribution initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in strategizing and executing our go-to-market plans, ensuring strong sales performance, effective channel development, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead product onboarding across E-commerce, Q-commerce, Hypermarkets, and institutional sales platforms (IRCTC, Airport Authorities, Hotels, etc.) from scratch to go-live stage.
- Develop and implement brand-building strategies aligned with the Product Life Cycle (PLC) and Go-To-Market (GTM) plans.
- Identify and collaborate with distributors, develop sales & distribution channels, and ensure effective liaisoning to scale the brand.
- Plan and optimize inventory levels based on Economic Ordering Quantity (EOQ) principles and ensure robust supply chain and logistics planning.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, QC checks, and proper shelf placement strategies for maximum visibility and sales performance.
- Drive strategic collaborations with key retail and institutional partners to expand market presence.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, prepare regular MIS reports, and present insights to management using Google Sheets, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Coordinate with digital marketing teams for integrated online & offline campaigns to drive product awareness and sales.
- Manage end-to-end sales and distribution operations, including tie-ups with distributors across regions.
- Handle negotiation processes with distributors from initiation to closure ensuring favorable terms for the company.
- Drive sales development initiatives by setting targets, monitoring distributor performance, and ensuring achievement of sales goals.
- Implement and maintain strong CRM practices with distributors to build long-term relationships and resolve issues proactively.
- Plan and oversee logistics and supply chain operations to ensure timely product delivery and optimize transportation costs.
- Manage SKU planning, product availability, and stock rotation to maximize sales opportunities and minimize wastage.
Qualifications & Experience
- MBA in Marketing, Business Development, or related field (mandatory).
- 3–5 years of experience in the FMCG industry with proven expertise in brand building, e-commerce, and distribution management.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems, ERP, or order management platforms is an added advantage.
- Strong negotiation, collaboration, and analytical skills with the ability to work in a dynamic startup environment.
Technical Skills Required
- Advanced MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Data Analysis).
- Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Docs).
- CRM Platforms (Zoho CRM, Salesforce, or equivalent).
- Inventory & Order Management Tools (Unicommerce, Browntape, or similar).
- Understanding of compliance portals (e.g., GST filing, FSSAI, E-Way Bills).
Compensation
CTC: ₹4 LPA to ₹6 LPA (Includes 10% Variable Pay for 4.5+ CTC Based on candidate's experience and skillset).
