Job Description

Lead – Business Development

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with the company's growth strategy

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, key decision-makers, and industry stakeholders

• Collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop tailored proposals and impactful pitch presentations for clients

• Provide guidance to junior BD team members and coordinate cross-functional inputs for timely proposal submissions

• Work closely with the marketing team to plan and execute campaigns that generate qualified leads and enhance brand visibility

• Manage the full sales cycle—from lead generation to deal closure—and ensure client satisfaction post-engagement

• Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to inform strategy and build a robust BD pipeline

• Represent the company at industry events and conferences, fostering strategic networks and alliances

• Lead preparation and delivery of presentations, customized proposals, and commercial negotiations

• Provide structured updates to senior leadership on pipeline health, team performance, and revenue forecasts

Qualifications and Skills:

• Master’s degree in business administration (MBA), Marketing, or a related field

• 8+ years of progressive experience in business development, preferably in consulting or energy/mobility sectors

• Proven track record of success in generating new business, developing partnerships, and closing high-value deals

• Demonstrated ability to lead a team, delegate effectively, and build internal capacity

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate diverse stakeholder ecosystems

• Excellent negotiation, client handling, and presentation skills

• Strategic thinker with the ability to interpret market shifts and adjust go-to-market plans proactively

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and adapt to dynamic scenarios

• Deep understanding of consulting business models and emerging industry trends

• Proficient in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word, and CRM tools

• Willingness to travel for client meetings, business pitches, and conferences as required
