Job Description

Business Analyst (SaaS Domain)


  • We are looking for a Business Analyst with 2–3 years of experience, ideally within a SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into scalable SaaS solutions, and driving continuous improvement in product functionality and user experience.


Key Responsibilities

1. Requirements Gathering & Analysis

  • Work closely with Product Owners, Business Teams, and Clients to gather and document requirements for SaaS product features, integrations, and enhancements.
  • Analyze user journeys, subscription workflows, and business processes to identify gaps and suggest improvements.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and market research to support product roadmap decisions.

2. Documentation & Communication

  • Create detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, and User Stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Build process flow diagrams, wireframes, and mockups to visually represent requirements.
  • Maintain a requirements traceability matrix to ensure complete delivery.

3. Product & Solution Support

  • Collaborate with engineering teams during sprint planning, backlog grooming, and solution design.
  • Ensure that requirements are implemented as intended by participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and reviewing deliverables.
  • Provide inputs for feature prioritization based on business value and user impact.

4. Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a key liaison between business users, product management, and development teams.
  • Conduct regular requirement review sessions and status updates with stakeholders.
  • Clarify requirements, resolve conflicts, and ensure timely delivery of features.

5. Data-Driven Insights

  • Monitor SaaS product usage metrics (e.g., user adoption, churn rate, feature usage).
  • Provide actionable recommendations to improve product usability and customer experience.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within a SaaS-based IT company.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS product lifecycle, subscription management, and customer onboarding workflows.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology, writing user stories, and working with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Figma, or Lucidchart.
  • Good analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of APIs, integrations, and data reporting is a plus.
