Role Description

Bid Manager


This role requires exceptional project management skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a collaborative approach, as the Bid Manager will work closely with sales, service delivery, marketing, and technical teams to develop winning proposals.


  • Key Responsibilities:

    Evaluate RFPs

    : Review and analyze incoming RFPs to assess alignment with the company’s service offerings, capabilities, and strategic objectives.
  • Bid/No-Bid Decision

    : Lead the internal bid qualification process, consulting with key stakeholders to determine if the company should pursue the opportunity, based on a clear understanding of project scope, profitability, risk, and competitiveness.
  • Stakeholder Engagement

    : Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, technical, legal, finance, operations, etc.) to gather input and ensure that all relevant areas are considered in the bid decision.
  • Deadline Management

    : Ensure all RFPs and bid responses are completed and submitted before the deadline, managing timelines, tasks, and key deliverables effectively.
  • Proposal Development

    : Oversee the development of compelling, competitive, and compliant responses to RFPs, ensuring that submissions are customized to address the specific needs of the prospective client.
  • Compliance and Detail Orientation

    : Ensure all bids meet client requirements and company quality standards, maintaining consistency in proposal content, presentation, and messaging.
  • Risk Management

    : Identify potential risks associated with each RFP and work with relevant teams to mitigate those risks.
  • Market Research

    : Conduct market research on potential opportunities, competitors, and pricing models to enhance bid strategies.
  • Post-Bid Review

    : Lead post-bid analysis and debriefs to assess performance, improve processes, and increase win rates.
  • Bid Library Management

    : Maintain a repository of bid templates, standard content, and responses to streamline the bidding process.
  • Qualifications:

    Experience

    : Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bid management, RFP evaluation, or related roles, preferably within a 

    managed services

    IT services

    , or 

    professional services

     environment.
  • Education

    : Bachelor’s degree in
