Your work profile

• We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Manager to join our Indirect Tax Technology Consulting Team. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of experience in SAP FI, Direct & Indirect Tax, and OneSource, with a strong understanding of S/4 HANA and cloud-based applications. This role involves driving global tax solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality functional designs and implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support global SAP FI and Tax (Direct & Indirect) solutions, including OneSource requirements.
• Lead/Support S/4 HANA / ONESOURCE implementations, including native and external interfaces.
• Collaborate with Process Experts, SMEs, and Product Managers to streamline tax requirements.
• Conduct design lead sessions and coordinate with peer SMEs.
• Deliver solutions across lightly managed applications and cloud platforms.
• Partner with Project Managers for solution design and effort estimation.
• Prepare and present effort estimations for new tax requirements.
• Coordinate with change and release management teams using ADO, ServiceNow, and HP ALM.
• Lead requirement gathering sessions and translate business needs into functional solutions.
• Perform quality assessments and peer reviews.
• Develop and supervise functional specifications and technical designs.
• Support development of reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms.
• Assist in resolving production issues and support meetings with the support organization.
• Execute prototyping, unit testing, integration testing, and UAT support.
• Resolve defects during testing and provide post-go-live support.
• Assist in creating and reviewing run books.
• Manage batch job scheduling, period-end activities, and tax team coordination.
• Prepare audit and compliance reporting documentation.
• Skills & Qualifications:
• Strong ability to translate technology vision into successful business outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proven ability to build collaborative partnerships with finance stakeholders.
• Experience working in high-performing IT teams and Agile environments.
• Resilience and ability to manage and challenge business expectations.
• Experience in Agile frameworks and leading Agile initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with ERP interfaces and third-party integrations with SAP.
• Proficiency in developing custom SAP solutions and configurations (FI, I-docs).
• Experience with OneSource Determination & Reporting (3–5 years preferred).
• Strong delivery track record in SAP and Indirect Tax projects.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.

Desired qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
• SAP Certification in FI or Tax Engines (ONESOURCE/VERTEX) is a plus.
• Experience in global tax compliance and audit reporting.
