Accounts Manager

Job Title: Accounts Manager – Manufacturing Department: Finance & Accounts Reports To: Managing Director Location: Solan, Himachal Pradesh Employment Type: Full-time Compensation - 30K to 40K Job Summary: We are looking for a strategic and detail-driven Head of Accounts to oversee the financial operations of our manufacturing business. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership and deep knowledge of accounting practices, cost control, and regulatory compliance. They will manage all aspects of the accounting function including financial reporting, budgeting, cost accounting, audits, and statutory compliance. Key Responsibilities: 1. Financial Accounting & Reporting Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations. Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Present financial reports to senior management for decision-making. 2. Cost Accounting & Inventory Management Manage and monitor cost accounting processes related to raw materials, WIP, and finished goods. Analyze and control manufacturing costs, wastage, and variances. Work with production and procurement teams to optimize cost efficiencies. 3. Budgeting & Forecasting Prepare and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts. Track performance against budgets and highlight variances with actionable insights. 4. Taxation & Statutory Compliance Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory filings. Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial and tax regulations applicable to the manufacturing sector. 5. Internal Controls & Process Improvement Implement and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies. Improve financial processes and systems to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and transparency. 6. Team Leadership Lead and develop the accounting team; assign responsibilities, conduct performance reviews, and provide training. Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the department. Qualifications and Experience: B.com/ M.com / CA / MBA in Finance Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3 - 4 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment. In-depth knowledge of cost accounting, inventory valuation, and factory operations. Hands-on experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally Prime) is a big Plus but not mandatory. Strong understanding of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), taxation, and regulatory compliance. Proven ability to lead a team and work cross-functionally with production, supply chain, and operations.
