Job Summary

Accessories Manager



Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Sourcing

  • Drive concept-to-commercialization for labels, buttons, zippers, badges, and allied accessories in line with seasonal design briefs and buyer aesthetics.
  • Develop and maintain a robust vendor matrix, evaluating factories on capability, capacity, sustainability, and compliance.
  • Leverage market intelligence to introduce innovative, eco-friendly materials and finishes.

Costing & Negotiation

  • Lead cost benchmarking and margin analysis; negotiate best-in-class pricing, payment terms, and lead times without compromising quality.
  • Collaborate with merchandising and finance teams to finalize accessory cost sheets within target margins.

Quality & Compliance

  • Establish accessory-specific AQL standards and testing protocols (colour fastness, nickel release, REACH/ CPSIA, etc.).
  • Partner with QA to ensure zero-defect incoming inspections and swift CAPA for any non-conformance.
  • Guarantee adherence to buyer compliance, social, and sustainability audits.

Inventory & Supply-Chain Management

  • Optimise stock levels through accurate demand forecasting and systematic reorder triggers.
  • Monitor supplier OTIF (On-Time-In-Full) performance; drive continuous improvement initiatives to minimise delays.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Mentor a small team of development executives and QA inspectors, fostering a culture of ownership and innovation.
  • Act as the accessory subject-matter expert in pre-production meetings, risk assessments, and buyer presentations.



Required Skills & Qualifications

  • MBA/Post Graduate diploma in Management, Textile Technology, Fashion Accessories, or equivalent.
  • 10+ years in accessories sourcing/development for export apparel, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proficiency in woven & knit accessory requirements for EU, UK, and USA markets.
  • Strong knowledge of global chemical, safety, and lab testing standards.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and digital sourcing platforms.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and vendor-relationship skills.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
