Job Title: Vice President (VP) – Sales Location : Remote (Must be available during U.S. Eastern Time: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST) Reports to : Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Type : Full-Time | Leadership Role | Equity Opportunity Target Markets : U.S. K–12 School Districts, with focus on NJ, NY, CA, TX & FL About Dumroo.ai Dumroo.ai is an AI-first education ecosystem designed to transform K–12 learning through intelligent tools for teachers, students, administrators, and parents. From lesson planning and grading to real-time analytics and personalized learning, our platform empowers education stakeholders with AI-driven insights and workflows. We’re now looking for a Vice President of Sales who will lead our go-to-market strategy and revenue growth by building strong relationships with school districts and education networks across the U.S. Role Overview The VP of Sales will drive top-line revenue through direct sales, partnerships, and sales team development. This is a field-oriented leadership role requiring experience selling to K–12 school districts and managing long sales cycles. You will be responsible for scaling Dumroo.ai’s presence across key U.S. regions, starting with NJ, NY, CA, TX and FL. Key Responsibilities Strategic Sales Leadership : Develop and execute a high-impact sales strategy tailored to U.S. K–12 school districts School District Engagement : Leverage personal relationships and build new connections with district administrators, superintendents, and decision-makers Pipeline & Forecasting : Manage the end-to-end sales funnel, from lead generation to closing, and provide accurate forecasting to leadership Team Building : Hire, train, and mentor a national team of account executives and sales development reps as we grow Product Alignment : Work closely with Product and Marketing to ensure sales messaging reflects platform capabilities and customer pain points Partnership Development : Establish relationships with state departments, education service centers, and consortiums to drive large-scale adoption CRM & Metrics : Ensure effective use of CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot or Salesforce) to track KPIs, customer activity, and team performance Representation : Represent Dumroo.ai at education conferences, EdTech expos, and strategic events to build credibility and generate leads Requirements 12+ years of experience in B2B or SaaS sales, with 5+ years in a leadership role Proven track record selling to U.S. K–12 school districts or working directly in district administration or procurement Deep understanding of EdTech buying cycles , funding structures (ESSER, Title I, etc.), and school sales dynamics Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills Comfortable leading both strategy and execution in a fast-paced startup environment Familiarity with public-sector RFPs, pilots, and long sales cycles Available to work during U.S. Eastern Time Zone (8 AM – 5 PM EST) Willingness to travel frequently for meetings and education events Preferred Qualifications Prior experience scaling sales teams in a venture-backed startup Knowledge of AI, learning platforms, or instructional software Relationships with superintendents, state education departments, or national school associations Compensation & Benefits Competitive commission-based compensation structure Equity/stock options for the right candidate Fully remote role with flexibility and autonomy Opportunity to join an early-stage EdTech company with a powerful mission How to Apply 📧 Send your resume and a brief note on your sales philosophy to: hr@dumroo.ai Subject : VP Sales Application – Dumroo.ai Show more Show less
