UX Manager

Role Summary

As UX Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end UX lifecycle — from research and ideation to prototyping and delivery. You will manage a team of UX/UI designers, researchers, and collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing teams to create seamless and impactful user journeys. Your leadership will be essential in building scalable design systems, user-centric practices, and a high-performing design culture.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Define and execute a UX vision and roadmap aligned with business and product goals.
• Champion a user-centered design philosophy across the organization.
• Balance design innovation with usability, technical feasibility, and scalability.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align UX strategy with business KPIs.

Team Leadership & People Management

• Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse team of designers and researchers.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and support career development plans.
• Hire, onboard, and retain top UX talent.
• Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and feedback-driven team culture.

User Research & Insights

• Embed research and data insights into product planning and design decisions.
• Plan and oversee qualitative and quantitative user research initiatives.
• Analyze usage data, conduct usability testing, and generate actionable insights.
• Ensure accessibility and inclusivity in user experiences.

UX/UI Design Excellence

• Guide the team in delivering high-quality wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and polished UI designs.
• Maintain and evolve a consistent visual language and design system.
• Ensure UX quality and consistency across platforms and products.
• Support interaction design, microinteractions, and motion design where applicable.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Product Managers to define user problems and opportunities.
• Partner with Engineering for efficient design implementation and iteration.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Customer Success to ensure brand and experience alignment.
• Act as a bridge between business, design, and technology teams.

Process, Tools & Innovation

• Define and standardize design workflows, tools, and documentation (e.g., Figma, Jira, Notion).
• Create scalable frameworks for design ops, versioning, and stakeholder collaboration.
• Encourage experimentation and innovation in design thinking and rapid prototyping.
• Evaluate and integrate new tools, including AI-driven UX technologies.

Requirements

Experience

• 7+ years in UX/UI design with 2+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Demonstrated experience leading UX for complex digital products or platforms.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams (UX, UI, research, design systems).

Skills

• Deep understanding of UX methodologies, usability principles, and HCI.
• Advanced knowledge of design tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or equivalent.
• Excellent grasp of user research methods — interviews, personas, journey mapping, A/B testing, analytics.
• Proficiency in building and maintaining design systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder alignment.
