UK Billing Executive - Delhi / Mumbai

• Must have experience in billing operations for SaaS or subscription-based businesses.
• Ability to handle billing, reconciliation, and invoicing for complex business structures.
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition standards under IFRS 15 and ASC 606.
• Experience with usage/entitlement tracking, overage billing models, and milestone-based invoicing.
• Skilled in credit management and reviewing contracts/SOWs to interpret commercial terms.
• Proficiency in Xero and other ERP/CRM systems for billing operations.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills for reconciliations and reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement capabilities.
• Project management skills are essential to ensure back-end development is fit for purpose, delivered on time, and prioritized appropriately despite competing business pressures.
• Reconciliation expertise is critical, as this role is responsible for ensuring customer usage is accurately billed in the absence of a middle-office function.

Lead Billing Transformation

Assess current manual billing processes and systems.Develop and execute a roadmap to move to a world-class billing platform with high levels of automation, accuracy, and integration.Champion best practices and change management across Finance, Sales, and Operations.End-to-End Billing Operations: Oversee the full billing cycle for SaaS subscriptions, creditpacks, managed services, subscriptions for managed services, ad-hoc services, premiumoverage charges, complex development SOWs, and multi-entity invoicing across different legal entities and jurisdictions.Contract Review & Compliance: Review customer contracts and SOWs to ensure billingterms, pricing, renewals, milestones, and credit/payment terms align with agreements;liaise with Legal and Sales teams to mitigate risks.Complex SOW Billing: Ensure accurate and timely billing of complex development projectsand milestone-based SOWs; coordinate with Project Management/Delivery teams to triggermilestone invoices and reflect scope changes.Credit Management: Establish and monitor customer credit terms, including paymentschedules, credit limits, and conditions for managed services and SOW-based work. Conductcredit checks and risk assessments for new and existing customers.Customer Onboarding: Work closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance to ensuresmooth onboarding, accurate initial billing set-up, and clear communication ofcredit/payment terms.Usage & Entitlement Monitoring: Design and manage a system to track customer usageagainst subscriptions, credit packs, and entitlements; ensure accurate measurement andcalculation of overages at premium rates; work with IT/Product teams to automate usage data feeds into billing platforms; provide internal and customer-facing usage dashboards.Tax & Regulatory Compliance:Ensure compliance with multi-jurisdictional tax obligations, including U.S. state sales tax/economic nexus thresholds, global VAT/GST regimes, and withholding taxes.Monitor and document sales by state to identify when nexus thresholds are approaching orexceeded; manage registration, collection, and remittance obligations accordingly.Work with external advisers to maintain compliance with global tax regulations.Revenue Recognition:Oversee revenue recognition for all billing streams (SaaS subscriptions, credit packs,managed services, SOWs, overages, and multi-entity transactions) in accordance withapplicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS 15/ASC 606).Ensure revenue is recognised accurately and timely; coordinate with the Finance team formonth-end and year-end closes.Maintain documentation and reconciliations to support audits and financial reporting.

Multi-Currency & Multi-Entity Billing
