Gurgaon/Bangalore , India The Test Manager will be responsible for driving quality engineering strategies, processes, and standards for company’s diverse suite of business applications, ensuring they meet the high-quality standards. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and lead the cultural shift in testing practices leveraging the best test tools, processes and framework to deliver a consistent and market leading testing service to the Enterprise applications. Primary responsibilities include guiding our testing teams with planning, developing and executing comprehensive testing strategies to support various IT delivery teams within AXA XL’s Global Technology (GT) organization. The candidate will also demonstrate a best-in-class level of expertise in test management and testing best practices. What You’ll Be DOING Lead & manage both internal teams and external vendors, within portfolio, ensuring high quality deliverables Develop and implement testing strategies that align with organizational goals and industry best practices Define and oversee service level agreements (SLAs) and vendor performance metrics. make sure vendors adhere to testing standards and project requirements and optimize cost-effectiveness and efficiency in vendor-driven testing initiatives take part in and contribute to TCoE support initiatives and projects as required Continuously improve testing methodologies and frameworks to enhance quality assurance practices. Maintain a shift-left methodology by encouraging test automation first approach Drive the adoption of AI/ML-based testing tools and emerging trends in test automation ensuring right level of test automation coverage Monitor testing progress to create sufficient visibility for stakeholders & management to understand the status of testing at any time. Review testing artifacts created by testing teams such as test strategy, test plan, test summary report etc. to make sure they meet industry standards. Help estimate new testing work requests and manage estimates against actuals to make sure change controls are appropriately managed and budgeted Foster a culture of quality, continuous learning and improvement within the testing teams. Manage resource allocation, training programs, and career development plans for the team. Define, collect, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) & metrics for your testing teams to evaluate testing effectiveness and drive improvements. Prepare and present testing status reports to TCoE management and other AXA XL stakeholders as required You will report to Test and Release COE Lead What You Will BRING We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Required Skills And Abilities Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. robust understanding of software development methodologies, including agile and waterfall model Proven experience in test management and delivery within a software development environment. Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams. Proficiency in testing frameworks, tools, and best practices, especially TMMi and ISTQB. robust knowledge of the various types of software testing - static, smoke, system, system integration, regression, UAT, performance, compatibility etc. Experience in vendor governance, contract negotiation, and SLA management. Extensive experience in designing and development of test automation frameworks. Experience with cloud-based testing and CI/CD integration. Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and microservices architecture and their best testing aproaches. Experience with testing tools such as Selenium, Apache JMeter, Gatling, UFT & Performance Center Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with property & casualty insurance lines of business and products will be preferred Desired Skills And Abilities Relevant certifications such as ISTQB Advanced Test Manager or TMMi certification are highly desirable. Experience in implementing the GenAI based solutions to optimize testing processes Experience in the Property and Casualty Insurance domain will be preferred Familiarity with insurance-related applications, such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, or equivalent.
