Position Overview:

Strategic Supply Chain Leader

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead the long-term supply chain strategy aligned with company growth objectives and program delivery schedules.
• Partner with engineering, program management, and manufacturing teams to define sourcing strategies for critical systems, long-lead items, and make-vs-buy decisions.
• Lead supplier development programs across mechanical, electronic, RF, propulsion, and space-grade components, with a focus on quality, scalability, and cost optimization.
• Oversee global sourcing, vendor qualification, and contract negotiations for high-value and mission-critical components.
• Establish and manage strategic supplier partnerships and joint-development agreements where applicable.
• Implement integrated supply planning, S&OP processes, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of supply for key programs.
• Drive digital transformation in the supply chain using ERP (SAP/Oracle), advanced analytics, and inventory planning tools.
• Ensure full compliance with aerospace regulations (e.g., 

  SCOMET, ITAR, EAR, AS9100, ECSS

  ) and internal quality systems.
• Own key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OTIF (On-Time-In-Full), supplier lead times, cost savings, inventory turns, and risk score.
• Actively lead or support internal audits, customer inspections, and supplier audits for qualification and quality.
• Build and mentor a high-performing supply chain and procurement team, enabling cross-functional excellence and succession planning.
• Lead logistics, import/export compliance, and international material movement across suppliers, customers, and test facilities.
• Represent the supply chain function in executive reviews, program planning, and customer milestone meetings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in 

  Supply Chain Management, Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering

  , or 

  Business Administration

  .
• Minimum 

  10 years of progressive experience

   in 

  aerospace, defence, or high-technology manufacturing

  industries.
• Proven experience in leading strategic sourcing and supply chain operations for complex systems such as 

  satellites, launch systems, or defence platforms

  .
• Strong expertise in 

  contract negotiation, supplier development, and international procurement

  .
• Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), advanced planning tools, and supplier analytics dashboards.
• Demonstrated leadership in driving cross-functional supply chain strategies and results under challenging timelines.
• Strong working knowledge of 

  compliance standards

   and 

  international regulatory frameworks

   relevant to aerospace and defence.

Additional Requirements:

• Based in or willing to relocate to 

  Hyderabad

  .
• Fluency in 

  Telugu

   is preferred for local supplier and operational interface.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business (MBA/MS preferred).
• Industry-recognized certifications such as 

  CSCP, CPIM, PMP, or Six Sigma

• Experience with 

  global sourcing

  offset obligations

  defence procurement ecosystems

• Exposure to 

  NewSpace ecosystems
