The role holder will work closely with senior stakeholders and needs to be comfortable working with teams across all departments and regions within Wood Mackenzie. Role Purpose This role is responsible for helping deliver effective B2B revenue generating marketing campaigns for defined brands and products. The individual must be commercially astute and execute effective tactics for defined event products to ensure successful delegate attendance via several marketing channels for our broad portfolio. This role uses both online and offline marketing methods, (print and online advertising, email marketing, direct mail campaigns, use of social media and digital channels etc.) and strong communication skills to build effective relationships with key internal stakeholders and external contacts. Day To Day Responsibilities Develop and execute effective marketing campaigns for various events based on market research and using a range of channels Web, email, print campaigns, telemarketing, social media, direct mail Developing audiences, segments and messaging across the portfolio working with product marketing, sales and program managers to ensure the best conversion to events Help build, contribute and execute the Marketing Plan for each event by Collaborating with Digital Team to drive attendance and best ROI for events and create compelling and effective digital marketing and online/ social presence and supporting overall portfolio benchmarks and reporting tools Collaborating with the Event Content team to identify opportunities for new product launches, define strategy, existing portfolio growth, messaging, pricing, revenue and audience generation. All based on data driven insights and users behaviors, competitor analysis and market insights. Create content for all marketing materials, including emails, banner ads, print ads, digital ads, press releases and social media posts in collaboration with Event Content and Research for sign off Plan and collaborate with Creative Services team to manage process in time with SLA’s as part of plan and create commercially driven assets for all tiered events and Tradeshows, occasionally in partnership with Program Managers. Coordinating front-end, creative production and back-end support for event marketing campaigns Work with Senior Manager and event content to identify and develop key industry partnerships; lead and manage marketing partner relationships with external media publications, and industry and professional associations, including identification, outreach, barter negotiations, onboarding, and ongoing communications as well as ensure contractual obligations are executed Collaborate with Regional Sales to ensure all commercial elements have a robust follow up plan which is tracked and measured Partner with sponsorship Sales Team on lite touch Sponsorship campaigns supporting Sponsorship growth Plan and collaborate with the PR team to identify PR opportunities to be maximized per project, where appropriate Help Manage events marketing budgets, timelines, and marketing communication Contribute to voice of the customer campaigns related to each event On occasion, attend events to gain customer insights and drive continuous improvement Best Practice Alignment, collaborating and developing relationships, best practice and processes with the Marketing program team for each energy segment Contribute to developing and sharing best practices across the event marketing function within Wood Mackenzie Perform regular competitive analysis and analyze points of differentiation across events Where applicable provides onsite support with the wider events team for an event Reporting Monitor, track, and provide analysis on Event Marketing spend and performance to drive delegates and revenue Support financial reporting on delegate and sponsorship Sales to Senior Event Marketing Manager on weekly basis for wider management reporting About You Have excellent client and stakeholder management skills. Collaboration is key Understand internal and external customer needs with the ability to think creatively and problem solve efficiently Proven relevant revenue generating commercial B2B marketing experience (3+years) (e.g. direct and/or events marketing, with preference given to those with conference marketing experience and industry events) An understanding of the customer journey, acquisition process and digital marketing channels Interested in exploring new marketing methods, and optimising traditional channels, thinking creatively about new ways to reach audiences Up to date with marketing trends, bringing news ideas and latest tech Experience using marketing and analytics systems such as Google Analytics, Salesforce, Cvent, Dreamdata Excellent written English and proof-reading skills Commitment to standards of excellence with attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize accordingly and work to tight deadlines Campaign tracking, reporting and analytical skills at campaign and customer level Deliverables (INTERNAL ONLY) B2B Marketing experience is essential Event marketing experience is essential Experience or keen to learn about working in an international environment covering different global markets Tech savvy – this person will need to learn about CRM tools (if they don’t already) and managing client / prospect data. Knowledge of salesforce and pardot / similar CRM tools is ideal Be passionate about growing the business and have a genuine interest in developing and growing themselves Have an intellectual curiosity and an interest in the energy transition Show effective organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage own workload effectively Be familiar with Microsoft products and be proficient in Word / Excel Power Point Be familiar or have to appetite to work with/ sample AI products Expectations We expect the successful applicant to embody our capabilities including personal impact, behave ethically and morally, be bold and persevering and look to continuously improve. The successful candidate will need to communicate effectively, collaborate well with both customers and internal stakeholders and be results driven. We are a hybrid working company and the successful applicant will be expected to be physically present in the office at least 2 days per week to foster and contribute to a collaborative environment, but this may be subject to change in the future.
