Role Objective

aftermarket revenue

Key Responsibilities

1. Revenue Generation (Core Focus):

  • Own and deliver aftermarket revenue targets (AMC, spare parts, retrofits, energy upgrades).
  • Prospect and convert existing installed base into service contracts and renewals.
  • Identify opportunities for system upgrades, replacements, and energy-efficiency solutions.
  • Achieve dictated revenue commitments through direct customer engagement.
  • Prepare and present techno-commercial proposals to customers.

2. Technical & Service Excellence:

  • Provide technical support and solution design for aftermarket offerings (retrofits, upgrades, spare parts selection).
  • Conduct site audits, load studies, and energy analysis to propose value-added services.
  • Ensure complex technical issues are resolved by coordinating with engineering & service teams.
  • Drive first-time-fix ratios and technical competency within partner teams.

3. Call & Service Management:

  • Ensure customer service requests are logged, tracked, and closed within SLA.
  • Personally engage with key/critical accounts for escalated issues.
  • Analyze service data to identify recurring issues and propose preventive measures.
  • Monitor CRM/service tool dashboards to ensure pipeline visibility and performance tracking.

4. Channel & Partner Management:

  • Engage with authorized service partners to expand aftermarket coverage.
  • Train channel partners on VRF technical solutions and revenue opportunities.
  • Review partner sales funnel, conversion ratios, and service delivery quality.
  • Support partners in closing high-value aftermarket opportunities.

5. Customer Engagement:

  • Act as the technical and commercial SPOC for aftermarket customers.
  • Conduct regular customer meetings to pitch new solutions, AMCs, and upgrades.
  • Build long-term relationships to ensure contract renewals and upsell opportunities.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical knowledge of VRF systems (design, installation, troubleshooting, retrofits).
  • Proven front-line sales experience in aftermarket/service revenue.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver technical & commercial proposals.
  • CRM/call management system proficiency for pipeline & service tracking.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and customer-handling skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with focus on revenue growth.

Qualifications & Experience

  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics (MBA preferred but not mandatory).
  • 6–10 years’ experience in HVAC aftermarket/VRF service sales.
  • Minimum 3+ years of

    front-line aftermarket sales/revenue management

    experience.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving dictated revenue, service contracts, and aftermarket upsell.
