Senior Software Engineer

Summary

As a Senior Engineer, you will design, build, and support critical integrations and applications across Oracle Finance and Fusion ERP modules. You will contribute hands-on development expertise in Java, Spring Framework, and cloud technologies (Azure/GCP) while ensuring scalability, compliance, and performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and support integrations between Oracle Finance/ERP and adjacent systems (billing, credit risk, tax, compliance).

Build and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.

Design, develop, and deploy containerized applications on Azure (AKS, Azure PostgreSQL, Azure Service Bus) and GCP.

Implement and support event-driven architectures leveraging Solace or other for messaging and asynchronous communication.

Embed observability into applications and services by implementing logging, metrics, and tracing with Splunk, New Relic, and other monitoring tools.

Ensure financial data solutions meet compliance standards (SOX, audit, tax).

Collaborate with Finance and IT partners to translate requirements into technical deliverables.

Participate in production support for Finance applications, resolving issues within SLAs.

Own CI/CD automation by designing, building, and maintaining Jenkins pipelines to streamline builds, testing, and deployments.

Write technical documentation and share knowledge with peers.

Provide informal mentorship to junior/offshore engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.

4–7 years of software engineering experience with focus on Finance/ERP systems (Oracle EBS/Cloud, Oracle Fusion Financials).

Hands-on coding experience with Java, Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud).

Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and integration patterns.

Exposure to Azure or GCP cloud services, with experience deploying applications on AKS or Kubernetes.

Strong problem-solving and debugging skills; ability to resolve production issues.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of billing, AR/AP, tax systems, or reconciliation processes.

Experience with Vertex O Series or other enterprise tax solutions.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tool chains.

Exposure to security/IAM, role-based access, and compliance controls.
