Position: DevOps Engineer II
Location: Philadelphia, US / Remote (Eastern Time Zone)
Reports to: DevOps Manager
To support and execute our technology enabled business strategy, we are currently seeking a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer.
The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for providing infrastructure and operational support for engineering teams to ensure stable systems deployment, monitoring and administration of the cloud-based applications. The DevOps Engineer will support development and operations teams, ensuring seamless integration and delivery of software products and product value delivery to our enterprise strategies, technology roadmap, and digital transformation.
Specific responsibilities include:

Development of Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation
-
Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multiple projects
-
Automate deployment processes to ensure efficiency, reliability and repeatability
-
Deploy maintenance application release updates to test, stage and production environments
-
Administration of deployed application services and databases
-
Management of systems backups and recoveries
-
Integration of Observability Monitoring and centralized logging
-
Practicing code management best practices for version control, branching and merging
-
Documentation of technical implementation and operations processes
-
Apply configuration updates to linux operating systems and cloud resources
-
Performs systems monitoring and troubleshooting of application issues via the logs
-
Development updates to existing Infrastructure as Code
-
Active member in Scrum / Kanban ceremonies

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience -
-
3+ years of DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer Experience
-
5+ years in IT operations support role, system integration, implementation, or deployment in cloud technologies
-
Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Docker Certified Associate, HashiCorp Cloud Engineer Certifications, Certified Kubernetes Administrator)
-
In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and automation tools.
-
Demonstrated experience in real world cloud-based, distributed, data driven applications.
-
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
-
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies including (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes, AWS: EKS, ECS, Fargate)
-
Experience with microservices architecture
-
Experience integrating with centralized monitoring and logging services (i.e. SumoLogic, Splunk, New Relic, CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, Data Dog).

Knowledge of networking, security, and system administration
-
Possess knowledge and experience in system Security and Identity integrations with SAML, Okta, etc.
-
Strong communication skills to engage effectively with senior business, leadership, and clients where applicable

Well versed in Agile methodologies.

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Technical Requirements -

Essential to have sound knowledge of cloud infrastructure using AWS, including knowledge of their built-in services, such as S3, CloudFront, ECS/EKS, EC2, RDS, API Gateway and Cloud Formation.

Experience in Infrastructure as Code scripting in Terraform and CloudFormation

Proficiency with script development (Python, Bash)

Proficiency with YAML, JSON and REST Framework
-
Expertise in Relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, MSSQL).

Expertise in NoSQL Databases (Redis, MongoDB).

Experience with microservices architecture.

Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g. Terraform)

Familiarity with agile development methodologies.

Experience in JIRA and Confluence.

Experience using GitHub.
