Job Summary:
The Manager-Purchase is responsible for managing and streamlining the purchasing and procurement processes for Spacedraft. This role involves planning, sourcing, negotiating, and ensuring the timely delivery of quality materials at optimal cost. The ideal candidate will have excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills with a deep understanding of supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals, considering quality, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery.
  • Supplier Management: Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strategic relationships to secure the best prices and terms.
  • Cost Optimization: Continuously seek opportunities to reduce costs, enhance value, and improve supplier performance while maintaining product quality.
  • Vendor Performance: Monitor and evaluate vendor performance, ensuring adherence to contractual agreements, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
  • Inventory Control: Coordinate with internal departments to ensure inventory levels are maintained at optimal levels to meet business demands.
  • Negotiation: Lead price negotiations with suppliers to achieve maximum cost reduction and better terms.
  • Quality Assurance: Work with suppliers to resolve any quality issues and ensure purchased materials meet specifications.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and standards.
  • Market Research: Keep abreast of market trends, changes in demand, emerging suppliers, and cost fluctuations to inform procurement strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the finance, project, and operations teams to forecast procurement needs and set budgets.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks in the procurement process, including supply chain disruptions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 1-4 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the civil construction or interior fitout industry.
  • Proven experience in supplier negotiations and strategic sourcing.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, cost control, and market trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data for effective decision-making.
  • Proficiency in ERP software and Microsoft Office Suite.
