Senior Purchase Executive

The Purchase Executive (Mechanical or electrical Background) is responsible for managing the procurement of mechanical parts and materials. This includes developing purchasing strategies, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of components to meet production schedules. The role also involves maintaining inventory records and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

         Manage all procurement activities related to capital projects, including mechanical, electrical and civil works, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.

         Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for project-based procurement within the chemical industry

         Conduct thorough cost analysis and negotiation for complex mechanical and civil work contracts, including evaluating Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and technical specifications.

         Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and vendors to ensure clear communication and alignment on project requirements and timelines.

         Identify and pre-qualify reliable vendors and contractors, negotiating favorable terms, pricing, and contract conditions.

         Monitor vendor performance and foster strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers.

         Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.

         Prepare purchase orders, track shipments, and manage inventory levels for project materials.

         Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and related documentation.

Requirements:

         Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or Civil preferred), Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

         4-5 years of proven experience in project procurement, preferably within the chemical industry or heavy manufacturing industry.

         Demonstrated experience in costing of mechanical, electrical and civil works, with a strong understanding of technical drawings, Auto-CAD specifications, and BOQs.

         Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)

         Handling Opex & Capex purchasing.

         Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
