Key Responsibilities: - Conceptualize and design novel products across segments like furniture, lifestyle bags, wall decor, curios, and decorative accessories from initial ideation to final prototype. - Utilize mixed materials (wood, metal, fabric, leather, ceramics, glass, natural fibers, etc.) to produce inventive and visually captivating products. - Conduct market and trend research to pinpoint emerging design prospects and align products with customer preferences and brand vision. - Collaborate closely with sourcing, merchandising, and production teams to ensure design viability, material accessibility, and cost-efficiency. - Partner with artisans, workshops, and manufacturers to create top-notch samples and end products. - Uphold consistency with brand aesthetics and design language while fostering creativity and craft-led innovation. - Engage in seasonal launches, design showcases, and interdisciplinary brainstorming sessions. Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field from NID or a similar institution. - 3-5 years of product design experience, preferably in home hard goods (e.g., tableware, kitchen accessories, home decor). - Profound understanding of materials like metal, ceramic, wood, glass, etc. - Proficiency in sketching, prototyping, and effective communication. - Awareness of prevailing design trends and sustainable principles in home design.
