Position Overview: The Store Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all store activities, including the management of materials, tools, and equipment necessary for electrical contracting projects. This role will be crucial in ensuring that the materials required for turnkey projects with MSEDCL are properly accounted for, stored, and distributed in a timely and efficient manner. The Store Supervisor will also liaise with various departments to ensure that inventory is maintained and project timelines are adhered to. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations of the store, ensuring that all materials, tools, and equipment for ongoing and upcoming MSEDCL turnkey projects are well-organized, tracked, and available for use. Ensure proper stock levels are maintained, order new supplies as needed, and monitor inventory to avoid stock-outs or overstocking. Maintain a detailed record of all materials received, issued, and used on projects. Ensure that the correct materials are supplied to project sites. Monitor and ensure proper handling, storage, and security of materials and equipment, with special attention to the safety protocols for electrical materials. Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure timely delivery of materials to project locations. Conduct regular stock audits to reconcile physical stock with system data. Prepare and maintain reports on stock levels, material usage, and any discrepancies. Supervise store assistants and other staff, ensuring efficient and accurate work. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and local regulations, including MSEDCL requirements. Manage the receiving and dispatching of materials, ensuring that all documents (such as delivery notes, invoices, etc.) are correctly processed and stored. Handle and resolve any material-related issues, including returns, replacements, and damages. Implement and maintain a clean and organized store environment, ensuring that all materials are clearly labeled and easily accessible. Qualifications: Minimum qualification: Graduate or Diploma holder in any discipline (preferably in Electrical Engineering or related field). Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in store management or inventory control, preferably in an electrical contracting or construction-related industry. Knowledge of electrical materials and equipment, particularly those used in MSEDCL projects, is a significant advantage. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and manage time effectively. Familiarity with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with internal teams and external suppliers. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
