Job Description

Location- Thane

Manage procurement of raw materials, consumables, and spare parts required for manufacturing operations.
Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors; negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and delivery schedules.
Create and process purchase orders and track order status using SAP (MM module).
Ensure timely availability of materials to prevent production delays and operational disruptions.
Maintain accurate purchase records, vendor master data, and inventory levels.
Coordinate closely with production, stores, and finance departments for smooth procurement cycles.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, quality standards, and statutory requirements.
Monitor supplier performance and resolve supply-related issues proactively.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in any relevant discipline (preferred).
3-5 years of experience in purchase/procurement within a steel or manufacturing organization.
Strong working knowledge of SAP, preferably SAP MM module.
Good negotiation, communication, and inter-department coordination skills.
Sound knowledge of materials, grades, and procurement processes specific to the steel industry.
