Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Proposal Engineer located in Coimbatore. The Proposal Engineer will be responsible for preparing and writing proposals, leveraging their skills in electrical engineering, sales, and procurement to support the company's sales efforts and client engagements. Qualifications Proposal Preparation and Proposal Writing skills Background in Electrical Engineering Strong Sales and Procurement abilities Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred Excellent communication and presentation skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field knowledge in Ducting Calculation, Airflow Calculation, Static Calculation, Choosing right filter for right application 1. Technical Evaluation & Solution DesignAnalyze customer requirements, specifications, and application needs (e.g., pressure, flow rate, vacuum levels). Select suitable ring blower models (single-stage, multi-stage, side-channel types) based on performance and efficiency. Customize solutions including accessories like filters, silencers, motors, and control panels. π 2. Proposal PreparationPrepare detailed technical proposals, including: Blower specifications Performance curves GA (General Arrangement) drawings if needed Compliance with industry standards (e.g., CE, ISO) Develop commercial proposals including cost estimation, pricing strategy, and payment terms. π€ 3. Cross-Department CoordinationWork with: Engineering team for technical validation. Sales team to align with market pricing and client expectations. Production/procurement for lead time and cost inputs. π 4. Client CommunicationClarify client technical queries and suggest optimal blower configurations. Support sales in client meetings, presentations, or technical discussions. π 5. Bid/Tender ManagementReview tenders or RFQs (Request for Quotations) for industrial projects. Ensure proposals are submitted in full compliance with specifications and on time. π 6. Documentation & Record KeepingMaintain a repository of past proposals, cost sheets, and technical data for future use. Continuously update databases with new models, configurations, and market feedback. π 7. Competitor & Market AnalysisBenchmark products and pricing against competitors. Suggest improvements in blower selection tools or proposal format. Desirable SkillsKnowledge of fluid dynamics, air movement systems, and mechanical components. Proficiency with tools like AutoCAD, SolidWorks (for drawings), and ERP systems. Strong communication and presentation skills. Understanding of industrial applications: wastewater treatment, pneumatic conveying, packaging, etc.
