Role Overview: At Oceaneering India Center, your role as a Mechanical Engineer will involve supporting the Bids and Proposals Team and Sales Team with technical expertise in responding to client ITTs and other client enquiries. You will be responsible for executing moderately complex bids and proposal tasks independently, creating bid designs for mechanical products, preparing engineering documentation, performing mechanical design calculations, and liaising with clients to understand their requirements. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers, participate in design reviews, and use continuous improvement techniques to optimize the bids and proposals processes. Key Responsibilities: - Execute moderately complex Bids and Proposal tasks independently - Create bid designs for mechanical products that meet functionality, quality, delivery, and budget requirements - Prepare all engineering documentation required for the Proposal - Perform mechanical design calculations on structures and products - Review technical specifications and commercial terms provided by clients - Coordinate with other domain resources when necessary - Incorporate relevant information from other departments into the Bid designs - Liaise closely with clients regarding design, analysis, and documentation - Participate in Sales Handover Meetings and support Project Engineering - Resolve technical queries raised by clients or third-party reviewers - Mentor junior engineers on assignments - Use Continuous Improvements techniques to optimize processes - Interpret and use industry codes and standards - Monitor performance parameters related to assigned proposals - Participate in design reviews - Demonstrate high levels of initiative to accomplish individual and team goals Qualifications Required: - Graduation (Bachelors Degree) in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of four years of relevant industry experience; OR - Post-Graduation (Masters Degree) in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of two years of relevant industry experience Desired Qualifications: - Intermediate to Expert level user of CAD and PLM/PDM software - Strong Knowledge of relevant Mechanical industry codes/standards - Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Additional Company Details: Oceaneering provides equal employment opportunities and prioritizes learning and development opportunities for employees to achieve their potential and take charge of their future.
