Brief Overview

As a Senior Product Manager, Benefits, you will be responsible for guiding the development and lifecycle of our ASO benefits administration product solutions to support the needs of TriNet clients, their employees and partners. This includes executing on the product vision, strategy, and roadmaps.Key responsibilities involve managing the product backlog, writing user stories, collaborating with cross functional teams, and ensuring the product meets market needs and regulatory requirements. In this role you will work with a broad set of stakeholders that include Marketing, Sales, Strategy, Business, Legal, Design, Engineering and other partners throughout the organization to maximize the effectiveness of TriNet's investment in its products and services.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in US employee benefits administration topics, staying abreast of industry trends
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in TriNet’s ASO Benefits solutions
  • Collaborate with product leadership to shape the long-term product and business direction
  • Execute on roadmap(s) working with stakeholders to drive implementation
  • Conduct market research and perform competitive data analysis that drives continuous product discovery
  • Execute go-to-market strategy demonstrating in-depth understanding of market and client needs
  • Own features from conception to launch, working with our Design, Engineering, and QA teams to deliver improvements to the product
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business partners ensuring alignment, understanding needs and identifying dependencies to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions
  • Prioritize the product backlog with clearly articulated benefits, while keeping orderly and handling ongoing feature and bug requests
  • Ensure clear and concise documentation of planned features as epics and user stories
  • Able to clearly articulate technical product requirements with familiarity of API concepts and protocols
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to define product architecture and design
  • Produce collateral to enable Marketing and Sales teams as new product/features are released and launched
  • Participate as active member of scrum team and in all agile ceremonies
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience- required

Experience Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in Product roles such as Product Manager, Product Analyst, or Technical Analyst required, preferably with a software development or technical background
  • 5 years demonstrated experience in transforming business requirements into technical solutions that drive value preferred

Skills And Abilities

  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in benefits administration and sponsored benefits domains required
  • Understands Agile development methodologies, like Scrum
  • Uses process and metrics-driven product management approach
  • Strong strategic thinking, troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Technical knowledge
  • Proven track record of successful cross-functional product launches
  • Ability to communicate with, build trust and influence colleagues and stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to lead and manage projects and facilitate team interactions effectively, including successfully handling conflict and competing priorities
  • Produces results in a fast paced, continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Exceptional communication, written and oral, and presentation skills (Advanced proficiency)
  • Expert in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with cloud-based solutions (SaaS)
