As part of our ongoing expansion, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Team Lead - Payroll to join our dynamic team, focusing on the APAC region, particularly the Australian market. Job Summary: As a Sr. Payroll/Team Lead - Payroll at IMS Decimal, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end payroll process for the Australian region. You will manage a dedicated payroll team, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services while ensuring compliance with local tax laws, labor regulations, and company policies. This role requires strong leadership skills, a detailed understanding of payroll operations, and the ability to manage client relationships effectively. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of payroll specialists, providing guidance, support, and training as needed to ensure effective and efficient payroll processing. Oversee the end-to-end payroll cycle for the Australian region, including salary calculations, tax withholdings, benefits, deductions, and compliance with local regulations. Ensure that payroll is processed accurately and on time while adhering to local statutory requirements and deadlines. Handle complex payroll-related queries from clients and internal teams, ensuring resolution in a timely manner. Conduct regular audits and ensure data accuracy and completeness for payroll reports. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, IT) to improve payroll processes and systems. Prepare and submit accurate payroll reports to clients, ensuring all compliance and regulatory requirements are met. Manage client relationships and communicate effectively to address their specific payroll needs and concerns. Drive continuous improvements in payroll procedures and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and reduce errors. Keep up to date with changes in legislation, tax rates, and other factors that may impact payroll processing. Key Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3-4 years of relevant payroll experience, with at least 1 year in a team lead or supervisory role. Hands-on experience in managing end-to-end payroll processing for the APAC region, specifically for Australia. Strong understanding of Australian payroll laws, taxation, and compliance requirements. Excellent team management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members. Proven experience in client handling and providing exceptional customer service. High attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in payroll software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
