Role & responsibilities

• Design and Implementation

• Plan, configure, and implement network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
• Set up and manage VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and Layer 2/3 configurations.

• Node Commissioning & Configuration

• Perform end-to-end configuration and commissioning of network elements: RAN, Core, IP routers, and switches.
• Ensure successful integration of nodes into NMS/OSS platforms.

• Network Integration

• Execute network integration tasks using tools like Nokia NIMS, Huawei U2000, Ericsson ENM, or similar.
• Create and follow detailed Method of Procedures (MOPs) for live network changes.

• Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Proactively monitor network health and performance using diagnostic tools (ping, traceroute, Wireshark, etc.).
• Conduct root cause analysis and coordinate with vendors/TAC for escalated incidents.

• Automation & Scripting (Preferred)

• Use basic Python or Shell scripting for automation of routine tasks and log collection.

• Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation including MOPs, Acceptance Test (AT) reports, and Handover documents.
• Create network diagrams and records using tools like Visio or Draw.io.

• Coordination & Communication

• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors during deployments and troubleshooting.
• Communicate planned outages, changes, and incident resolutions effectively.

• Change & Incident Management

• Participate in change management activities during maintenance windows and planned outages.
• Follow ITIL practices for incident logging and resolution tracking.

• Security & Compliance

• Ensure network configurations adhere to security and compliance standards.
• Support regular audits and access control mechanisms.

Skill Set Summary

Technical Skills

• Proficient in 

  IP Networking

   concepts including Routing, Switching, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
• Hands-on experience in 

  node configuration and commissioning

   across Routers, Switches, RAN, and Core network elements.
• Skilled in using telecom integration platforms such as 

  Nokia NIMS, Huawei U2000, Ericsson ENM

  , or equivalent tools for node onboarding and MOP creation.
• Good knowledge of
