Role Summary:

The Senior Manager – Admissions (POD Lead) plays a dual role of individual contributor and team leader. The position holder is responsible for achieving personal admission targets as well as ensuring that their assigned POD meets its overall enrollment goals. The role demands leadership, counselling expertise, data-oriented decision-making, and team performance management.

Key Responsibilities

1. POD Leadership & Target Delivery

• Lead one admissions POD comprising Assistant Managers and Junior Counsellors.
• Drive the POD to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual enrollment targets.
• Track performance of each team member and ensure adherence to counselling and conversion standards.
• Conduct daily huddles, weekly performance reviews and monthly target planning for the POD.

2. Individual Counselling & Conversions

• Meet individual student counselling and conversion targets.
• Handle high-quality or high-value leads personally, including walk-ins, referrals, enquiries from top sources, or escalations.
• Conduct detailed course counselling, campus walkthroughs, career guidance sessions, and parental counselling.

3. CRM & Follow-Up Management

• Ensure accurate and timely updating of Meritto CRM for all counselling interactions within the POD.
• Monitor calling efficiency, follow-up frequency, and lead pipeline status across the POD.
• Use CRM analytics to review enquiry-to-application-to-admission progression and optimize conversion efforts.

4. Training & Coaching

• Train Assistant Managers and Junior Counsellors on counselling skills, objection handling, and communication standards.
• Identify training needs and coordinate skill development with Admissions leadership.
• Mentor staff to maintain high engagement, professionalism, and productivity.

5. Reporting & Performance Analytics

• Generate POD performance reports on:
• Lead utilization
• Conversion ratios
• Application movement
• Revenue alignment and fee realization
• Present weekly reports to Head of Admissions with recommendations for improvement.

6. Collaboration & Stakeholder Alignment

• Collaborate with Marketing and Call Centre teams for lead quality assessment and prioritization.
• Work with senior management to design offers, scholarship recommendations, and conversion strategies.
• Coordinate with academic departments for orientation queries, course-specific counselling, and admission handovers.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience

   in admissions, educational sales, or related roles.
• Experience managing teams and achieving targets is mandatory.
• Exposure to CRM-based conversions (Meritto preferred) is an advantage.
