Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities- Lead and manage all mechanical aspects of boiler operations, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and safety across the plant. - Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies and plans for boiler equipment, including pressure parts, drums, superheaters, reheaters, economizers, air preheaters, fans, and auxiliary systems. - Oversee predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime and extend the lifecycle of boiler components. - Drive root cause analysis and resolution of mechanical failures or performance issues, applying best practices and continuous improvement methodologies. - Collaborate closely with operations, electrical, instrumentation, and control teams to ensure integrated and seamless boiler functionality. - Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, statutory regulations, and environmental compliance related to mechanical boiler equipment. - Manage budgeting, procurement, and vendor relationships for mechanical parts and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality standards. - Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and supervisors, promoting skill development and high-performance culture. - Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to boiler mechanical systems, driving accountability and transparency in operations. - Coordinate with project management teams during the installation, commissioning, and retrofitting of boiler equipment to ensure design and technical specifications are met. - Facilitate audits, inspections, and technical assessments to uphold plant reliability and operational excellence. - Promote innovation by evaluating and integrating new technologies, materials, and methodologies to enhance boiler efficiency and sustainability. - Champion Adani’s values of safety first, operational excellence, innovation, and sustainability by embedding these principles into daily practices and decision-making. - Foster an inclusive and collaborative work environment, encouraging open communication and teamwork across all levels.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized university - Postgraduate degree or diploma in Power Engineering or Thermal Engineering will be an added advantage Certification Required- Certified Boiler Operation Engineer or equivalent - Safety and risk management certifications related to thermal power plant operations - Project Management Professional (PMP) or Six Sigma certifications are desirable
