Job Summary

Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audits, and internal policies.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports and recommendations.
  • Support external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Mentor and support junior accounting staff, providing guidance on accounting best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve financial efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA/CA preferred).
  • Minimum 6

    –10 years of progressive accounting experience

    , with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of

    GAAP/IFRS

    and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar ERP systems).
  • Advanced

    MS Excel

    skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
