ABOUT THE COMPANY:

Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components.

Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Responsibilities:

Production Scheduling:

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and long-term fab production schedules.
• Sequence production lots based on priority, equipment availability, and WIP status.
• Coordinate with Fab Planners, Engineers, and Line Managers to align capacity with demand.

WIP Management:

• Monitor Work-In-Progress (WIP) levels at various process stages.
• Identify bottlenecks and proactively adjust schedules to minimize delays.
• Work with operators and shift leads to execute the schedule efficiently.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

• Track key metrics: schedule adherence, lot turn-around-time (TAT), cycle time, and throughput.
• Analyze performance data and adjust plans to meet KPI targets.
• Generate reports for management review and decision-making.

Cross-functional Coordination:

• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to incorporate constraints into scheduling.
• Communicate schedule changes and priorities to all stakeholders effectively.

System Tools:

• Use advanced scheduling tools like MES (Manufacturing Execution System), APS (Advanced Planning Systems), and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle).
• Recommend and support automation and optimization of planning and scheduling processes.

QUALIFICATION:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or a related technical field.
• (Master’s degree preferred for advanced roles.)

Skills:

• Strong understanding of semiconductor process flows (Front-end/Back-end).
• Proficient in MES/ERP systems and production planning tools.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a wafer fab.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or theory of constraints (TOC).
• Familiarity with scheduling algorithms or Python-based planning tools is a plus.
• experience in Primavera and Microsoft project (software); hands-on experience in project management or scheduling.

DESIRED LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE:

• 3–6 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or high-tech production planning/scheduling.
