Job Title: Account Manager - Internet of Things (IoT)

Location: Delhi/ Mumbai


Job Summary:

Black Box is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented National Sales Manager to lead and expand our Internet of Things (IoT) sales across India. This pivotal role will be responsible for developing and executing national sales strategies, building and managing a high-performing sales team, and achieving ambitious revenue targets within the rapidly evolving IoT landscape. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of IoT technologies, a proven track record of successful sales leadership in a technology-driven environment, and exceptional relationship-building skills.

Candidate should have demonstrable experience of closing sizeable deals in Private Industry in any of the following IoT use cases on first party or through channel partners within last 5 years

Sensor Based Monitoring & Control Solutions for Data Centres/Command Centres/ Healthcare/Hospitality/Warehouse/Manufacturing/Retail/Airport/Modern Workplaces

GPS & LTE based Telematics solution for Logistics, Oil & Gas, Mines and other heavy industries

RTLS/RFID based track & trace solutions for Asset Management systems in Industrial Workspaces

Candidates with experience in selling OEM IoT products through channel partners are preferred


Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development and Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive national sales strategies to achieve company revenue goals for IoT products and solutions. Identify key target markets, industries, and customer segments.
  • Sales Team Leadership and Management: Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a national sales team, setting clear performance objectives and providing ongoing coaching and support. Foster a collaborative and high-performance sales culture.
  • Revenue Generation and Forecasting: Drive sales growth by actively engaging with key accounts, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring the team meets or exceeds sales targets. Accurately forecast sales revenue and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence: Stay abreast of the latest IoT trends, technologies, and competitive landscape. Analyze market opportunities and identify potential threats, providing insights to inform product development and sales strategies.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders across various industries. Act as a trusted advisor and solution provider.
  • Sales Process Optimization: Develop and implement efficient sales processes and tools to enhance team productivity and effectiveness. Ensure adherence to company sales policies and procedures.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and effective go-to-market strategies. Provide feedback from the field to inform product roadmaps and marketing campaigns.
  • Sales Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present regular sales reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs), pipeline analysis, and sales forecasts to senior management. Utilize data to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales performance.
  • Budget Management: Manage the national sales budget effectively, ensuring optimal resource allocation and maximizing return on investment.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 4-6-10 years of progressive sales experience in the technology sector, with a significant focus on Internet of Things (IoT) solutions.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing national sales teams and achieving ambitious revenue targets.
  • Deep understanding of IoT technologies, platforms, and applications across various industries (e.g., industrial IoT, smart cities, connected devices).
  • Strong network and established relationships within the Indian enterprise and industrial markets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to travel extensively across India.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience selling specific IoT solutions relevant to Blackbox offerings.
  • Familiarity with channel partner management and development.
