Role Overview

Key Responsibilities


Business Development & Sales

  • Identify, qualify, and convert leads into long-term business for 

    sheet metal fabrication, base frames, canopies, and lighting towers

    .
  • Develop sales strategies to penetrate 

    domestic and international OEMs, EPC contractors, and infra companies

    .
  • Maintain strong pipeline visibility and report on leads, opportunities, and closures.
  • Represent the company at 

    trade shows, expos, and industry forums

    .


Technical Sales & Customer Engagement

  • Read and interpret 

    technical drawings, welding symbols, and fabrication details

     to communicate effectively with customers.
  • Translate customer requirements into internal deliverables for design, manufacturing, and costing teams.
  • Provide 

    technical clarifications, feasibility inputs, and value-engineering suggestions

     to customers.
  • Conduct product demos and presentations (lighting towers, canopies, sheet metal solutions).


Industry Knowledge & Market Expansion

  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of 

    sheet metal fabrication processes

     (laser cutting, bending, welding, coating).
  • Stay updated on 

    construction and mining equipment industry trends

    , particularly lighting towers.
  • Identify potential channel partners, dealers, and distributors for scaling construction equipment sales.


Costing & Negotiation

  • Collaborate with the design and costing teams to prepare accurate quotations.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms while ensuring profitability and long-term customer satisfaction.
  • Support management in developing 

    profit improvement plans (PIPs)

     via cost-effective sales strategies.


Customer Relationship Management

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with client SCM, NPD, and project teams.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for customer queries, quality concerns, or delivery updates.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction scores and promote repeat business.


Qualifications

  • MBA in Sales & Marketing

     (mandatory)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in B2B industrial sales

     (sheet metal fabrication, capital goods, or construction equipment)
  • Strong ability to 

    interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and fabrication language

  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Good understanding of 

    lighting towers, canopies, and sheet metal base frames

     is an added advantage
