Job Description

SCOPE OF WORK 1. Job Purpose:To generate and convert sales opportunities for capital industrial products (especially screw air compressors) by identifying new customers, developing strong customer relationships, conducting site visits, understanding technical requirements, and offering effective solutions that meet customer needs. 2. Key Responsibilities:A. Lead Generation & Prospecting:Identify and target potential customers through various channels (industrial visits, references, telecalling, exhibitions, and digital platforms). Schedule and execute field visits in the assigned territory. Build and maintain a strong sales funnel for capital equipment. B. Customer Engagement & Technical Presentation:Meet with plant heads, purchase managers, and maintenance teams to understand application requirements. Conduct product presentations and demos highlighting energy efficiency, reliability, and cost-saving benefits. Prepare and share customized techno-commercial offers. C. Site Survey & Technical Evaluation:Carry out site audits to study air demand, line pressure, layout, and application. Recommend the right model and configuration of screw compressor and accessories. Coordinate with the technical team for sizing and selection. D. Proposal, Negotiation & Order Finalization:Prepare and submit quotations, proposals, and technical documents. Follow up for negotiation, technical clarification, and order closure. Achieve assigned monthly and quarterly sales targets. E. Coordination & Handover:Coordinate with the service and installation team for successful delivery and commissioning. Provide customer feedback and inputs to management for product improvement. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions in CRM/MIS. F. Post-Sales Relationship & Business Growth:Ensure customer satisfaction and develop long-term business relationships. Upsell and cross-sell other related equipment and AMC/service contracts. Collect references for new business opportunities. 3. Required Skills & Competencies:Strong technical understanding of screw air compressors, air systems & accessories. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Good understanding of industrial customers and applications. Self-motivated, target-oriented, and comfortable in field sales. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and CRM tools. 4. Qualifications & Experience:Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation or related field. 1 years of experience in industrial capital product sales (preferably screw compressors, air dryers, or similar). Should possess a two-wheeler and be willing to travel extensively. 5. KPIs (Key Performance Indicators):Achievement of monthly and quarterly sales targets. Number of new customer acquisitions. Conversion ratio from lead to order. Timeliness and accuracy of reporting. Customer satisfaction and repeat business.
