Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Sales Engineer, located in Bangalore Urban. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for providing technical pre-sales and post-sales support, communicating with clients to understand their product and manufacturing requirements, offering customized end-to-end solutions (from prototype to production), and assisting in the sales process. Daily tasks include preparing and delivering technical presentations and demos, responding to RFQs and tender documentation, developing BOMs and cost estimates, coordinating with R&D and manufacturing teams for DFM/NPI activities, and ensuring customer satisfaction through timely support and clear technical communication.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 1-2+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Technical Sales, or Pre-Sales preferably within electronics or hardware domains (B2B/OEM/EMS).
  • Proven experience in consultative/solution selling and managing enterprise sales cycles.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and customer-facing skills.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes (SMT, through-hole, box-build), prototype-to-production transitions, DFM/DFT principles, and quality standards (RoHS, CE, IEC, IS) is a plus.
  • Experience using CRM tools (Salesforce, Zoho), MS Excel for costing/quotations, and basic familiarity with CAD tools (Altium, Eagle) or lab equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter) is desirable.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, supply chain, and production teams; strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with prospects and customers to gather technical requirements and propose tailored hardware and manufacturing solutions.
  • Prepare technical proposals, BOMs, quotations, and respond to RFQs and RFPs accurately and promptly.
  • Deliver technical presentations, product demos, and proof-of-concept validations to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with engineering and production for feasibility assessments, NPI planning, and trial builds.
  • Support contract negotiations with clear technical input on scope of work (SOW), SLAs, and acceptance criteria.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM, track pipeline, and collaborate with the sales team to meet revenue targets.
