Role Overview:

Retail Operations Manager


Key Responsibilities

1. Multi-Store Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations of

    all retail stores

    to ensure smooth functioning.
  • Conduct regular

    store visits, audits, and SOP checks

    .
  • Ensure each store meets company standards in hygiene, customer experience, and product handling.
  • 2. Sales & Performance KPIs

    • Monitor and optimize store KPIs:
    • Sales targets & conversion
    • Shrinkage & wastage control
    • Order fulfillment time
    • Customer satisfaction scores
    • Review store performance dashboards and take corrective actions.


  • 3. Inventory & Stock Control

    • Ensure accurate

      stock inward, stock rotation, and physical vs system inventory match

      .
    • Conduct random stock audits and investigate discrepancies.
    • Train store teams on

      inventory discipline, wastage recording, and shrinkage control

      .
  • 4. Online Orders & Dispatch Management

    • Ensure smooth execution of

      Swiggy, Zomato, Website & App orders

      .
    • Reduce delays & cancellations by improving coordination between butchers, CSAs, and riders.
    • Ensure packaging quality, accuracy, and timely dispatch.
  • 5. People Management & Training

    • Manage and support

      Store Managers, Butchers, CSAs, and Riders

      .
    • Drive staff training on:
    • Customer service
    • Grooming & discipline
    • Hygiene standards
    • POS systems & inventory tools
    • Handle escalations, performance issues, and shift scheduling.
  • 6. Compliance, Hygiene & SOP Execution

    • Ensure strict implementation of:
    • Meat-handling standards
    • Zero-odor and hygiene protocols
    • Cleaning checklists
    • Store audits (daily/weekly/monthly)
    • Ensure stores follow all regulatory and company compliance guidelines.



  • 7. Cash, Systems & Reporting

    • Monitor

      cash handling, reconciliation, and deposit compliance

      .
    • Ensure accurate billing, POS configuration, and daily closure reports.
    • Submit daily/weekly MIS to senior management.

  • Requirements

    • 3–6 years experience

      in

      retail / Q-commerce / meat or FMCG sectors

    • (e.g., Zepto, Blinkit, Licious, Instamart, FreshToHome, Reliance Fresh)
    • Strong understanding of

      store operations, inventory systems, shrinkage control

    • Hands-on experience managing

      blue-collar teams

    • Proficient in

      Excel, POS systems, and operational dashboards

    • Strong leadership, communication, and on-ground execution skills
    • Willingness to travel across stores and handle urgent operational escalations
