A bodyshop advisor's responsibilities include: Customer service : Welcoming customers, communicating with them about repair needs, and ensuring their satisfaction Repair estimates : Preparing accurate cost estimates for repairs and body work Scheduling : Scheduling appointments and managing repair timelines Coordination : Coordinating with customers and technicians to facilitate repairs Record keeping : Keeping records of repair orders, invoices, and customer interactions Quality assurance : Evaluating the quality of repair jobs and returning vehicles to technicians for additional work if needed Insurance : Understanding insurance company estimates and checking them for accuracy Parts : Completing parts order sheets, investigating alternative sources for hard-to-locate parts, and checking parts when delivered A bodyshop advisor should be able to work independently and manage their time and work flow. A high school diploma or equivalent is usually required, with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology or a related field preferred.
