The Deputy Regional Manager / Regional Manager - Business Development is responsible for increasing revenue and driving growth for ETS products and services in the assigned territory. The role involves developing and managing client relationships, identifying and closing new business opportunities, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions to education partners. The incumbent will serve as a key liaison between ETS and its regional stakeholders, including higher education institutions, agents, and industry partners, and will be responsible for executing strategic sales initiatives to achieve annual targets. Key Responsibilities Meet or exceed revenue targets for the assigned territory and individual sales goals. Manage regional sales expenses in alignment with revenue goals and budget allocations. Develop and execute territory and key account plans using consistent performance metrics. Identify and qualify new business opportunities, especially within higher education institutions. Lead prospects through the sales funnel — from qualification to closing deals. Leverage internal ETS resources (sales, marketing, FCE, and SBU teams) to drive strategic plans. Maintain an up-to-date CRM with client contacts, sales activity, and opportunity pipeline. Build deep product knowledge across ETS offerings to enable consultative selling. Design and deliver impactful presentations and product demonstrations. Represent ETS at education fairs, conferences, and national/state-level exhibits. Foster strong client relationships to support retention, satisfaction, and upselling Relevant Experience 10+ years of progressive experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in the education, assessments, study abroad, or edtech sectors. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in a B2B or B2I (business-to-institution) environment. Experience working with higher education institutions, agents, and education-related government or industry bodies. Strong exposure to territory management, client acquisition, and stakeholder engagement across large regions or diverse markets. Education Bachelor’s degree is required (preferably in Business or Marketing). Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred and will be an advantage. Skills & Competencies Strong sales acumen with strategic thinking and execution ability. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to independently manage a sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure. Proficient in CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual collaboration platforms. High adaptability and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders Other Requirements (Specialized Skill Sets, Behavioral/technical) Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned region (up to 50%+ of the time). Flexible to work evenings and weekends as per client or event schedules. Strong understanding of regional education trends, regulatory frameworks, and competitor landscape.
