Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic development of Operations in SEA Region. Ensure efficient and cost-effective results that meet order demand, specifications, quality and planning targets through the coordination and management of Equipment, Personnel, Processes, Quality & HSE.The work model for the role is: This role is contributing to the B&R Machine Automation business in Pune, India.You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Ensures (with HR support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled, and directed. Guides, motivates, and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.
  • Ensures compliance with Group health, safety, environmental and sustainability directives, and that regulations are implemented, while monitoring and reporting progress and results. Assesses risks and safety hazards and implements plans to ensure people and equipment safety (w. Ensure compliance with all legal, specifications.
  • Develops and executes plans to reduce non-value added costs, increase productivity, and delight customers by delivering products on time with high factory yields and decreasing product field failure rates.
  • Develops programs, projects, goals, and metrics to lead the organization to the highest level of operational performance and excellence. Integrate lean manufacturing principles into processes.
  • Prepares annual budget, oversees process, and determines actions to cost issues as necessary in order to manage operations within the budget and resources. May provide support to Sales during customer visits (Sense of customer orientation)

Qualifications For The Role

  • Completed business administration/technical education or be a qualified CA.
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience in the field of operations management in an industrial environment on an international level.
  • Entrepreneurial leadership personality with team spirit, very good communication skills, hands-on mentality, negotiation skills and assertiveness.
  • Very good knowledge of English.
  • Experience with MS-Office and ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Structured process- and solution-oriented approach as well as strong organizational skills.
