Role Overview

The Regional Commercial Manager will be responsible for overseeing all commercial and financial operations for Home Centre stores within the assigned region. This includes ensuring profitability, maintaining financial discipline, driving cost optimization, and providing business insights to support strategic decision-making. The role requires close collaboration with Operations, Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Finance teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end commercial operations for the region, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Monitor and control store-level operating expenses, stock losses, and margins to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of vendor payments, store cash, and inter-company accounts.
  • Partner with the Operations and Merchandising teams to support business planning, product performance analysis, and pricing strategies.
  • Conduct regular financial performance reviews with store teams and identify areas for cost optimization.
  • Oversee internal audits, compliance checks, and adherence to company policies and statutory norms.
  • Support new store opening activities, including CAPEX planning and cost monitoring.
  • Ensure accurate and timely MIS reports and business performance metrics are shared with regional and central teams.
  • Mentor and develop the regional commercial team to ensure effective performance delivery.

  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of retail operations and P&L management.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, auditing, and reporting.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver within timelines.
  • Advanced Excel and ERP (SAP preferred) knowledge.


Qualifications & Experience

  • CA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.
  • 8–12 years of experience in commercial or finance roles, preferably in retail, FMCG, or large-format store operations.
  • Experience managing multi-store or regional commercial operations is highly desirable.
