The Quality In-Process Engineer (Grinding Machining) plays a critical role in ensuring that all grinding-machined components meet the strict quality, precision, and reliability standards required by the organization and its customers. This role is responsible for overseeing quality assurance activities directly on the shop floor, focusing specifically on OD/ID grinding, cylindrical grinding, centerless grinding, and surface grinding operations. The engineer will monitor process stability, verify dimensional accuracy, support machine operators, and ensure strict conformance to drawings, specifications, and control plans. The position requires a practical understanding of grinding processes, strong metrology skills, and the ability to react quickly to quality issues, preventing deviations from reaching subsequent operations or customers. This role functions as the primary link between manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams and ensures that machining processes remain capable, repeatable, and continuously improved.
