Quality Assurance Manager

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Hyderabad for a Quality Assurance Manager. The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance program, including inspection and testing processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and managing quality control audits. They will also develop and implement quality management strategies, analyze data to identify areas for improvement, and lead the QA team to uphold the highest quality standards.

Educational Qualifications

1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Production Engineering or related domains
2. Master's Degree (optional but preferred) in Quality Management or Industrial Engineering
3. Certification in ISO 9001:2015, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), Lean Manufacturing is highly desirable

Experience

1. 6 to 8 years of experience in quality assurance/control in a manufacturing industry
2. At least 2 to 3 years in a managerial or team leadership role
3. Working experience on engineering drawings & ensuring output as per standard drawings
4. Experience on profile projector and ability to read engineering drawings
5. Experience in handling statutory inspections, client audits, and external certifications

Key Skills Required

1. In-depth understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS), ISO standards, 5S, TPM
2. Experience in Non-Conformity (NC) analysis, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Corrective & Preventive Operations (CAPA)
3. Ensuring product outcome as per drawings.
4. Hands-on knowledge of measurement tools, calibration systems, SPC, and PPAP
5. Hands-on experience with

   hydrostatic tests, burst tests, fatigue tests, and leak detection

6. Knowledge of

   brazing technology, welding, heat treatment, LPG appliance testing, and pressure vessel standards

7. Ability to manage internal and third-party quality audits
8. Strong skills in documentation, report preparation, and customer complaint resolution
9. Good command over ERP systems, MS Office Suite, and MIS reporting- Experience in process automation

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the overall quality assurance function and ensure alignment with customer specifications and statutory norms
2. Ensure inward, in-process, and final product inspections are carried out as per defined parameters
3. Maintain quality documentation, test reports, calibration records, and inspection logs
4. Segregate and report non-conforming materials and maintain proper disposal or return procedures
5. Monitor performance metrics like Rejection Rate, Rework %, Customer Complaints, etc.
6. Coordinate with Production, Design, and Procurement teams for corrective actions
7. Conduct regular training programs on quality standards and improvement techniques
8. Liaise with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and customers for compliance-related activities
9. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production processes
