Job Description

Who we need? – Purchase Executive - We are looking for a smart and detail-oriented Purchase Executive to handle day-to-day procurement activities, ensuring timely availability of raw materials, tools, consumables, and indirect items. - The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of hardware components, vendor coordination, and purchase systems in a manufacturing environment. What will a Purchase Executive do? - Source and procure raw materials (e.g., metal, chemicals, packaging), bought-out components, consumables, and machine spares. - Request quotations, compare offers, and negotiate pricing, delivery, and payment terms with suppliers. - Issue purchase orders (POs) as per production and store requirements. - Follow up with suppliers for timely material delivery and resolve supply-related issues. - Coordinate with the stores, accounts, quality, and production teams for inward material tracking and documentation. - Maintain updated records of suppliers, quotations, lead times, and purchase prices. - Evaluate vendor performance based on delivery, quality, and cost. - Track open POs, pending deliveries, and inform stakeholders of any delays. - Ensure adherence to procurement SOPs, GST compliance, and documentation accuracy. - Support vendor development and onboarding for alternate or cost-effective sourcing. - Participate in periodic stock reviews and support inventory control efforts. An efficient Purchase Executive should have: - Strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain coordination. - Good negotiation, vendor management, and communication skills. - Basic technical knowledge of engineering or hardware components. - Accuracy in documentation, data entry, and ERP handling. - Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing setup. - Problem-solving skills and proactive follow-up habits. Minimum Education Requirements: - Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management. - Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain in a manufacturing company (preferably hardware or engineering components). - Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and Tally software is essential. - Knowledge of tax structures (GST, TDS) and basic commercial terms is a plus.
