Production Manager

We Are Hiring – Production Manager (PEB Industry) ⚙️ Location: Rohad Industrial Area, Bahadurgarh, Haryana Company: SModi Infrasteel Pvt. Ltd. SModi Infrasteel Pvt. Ltd. is a leading name in the Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) industry, delivering high-quality steel structures for warehouses, industrial sheds, manufacturing units, and infrastructure projects across India. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Production Manager to lead our plant operations and drive excellence in steel fabrication and production management. Position Overview The Production Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the entire production process at our PEB manufacturing facility. This role demands a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of PEB structures, steel fabrication techniques, manpower management, and quality control. This is a key leadership position that ensures timely, cost-effective, and quality-driven production output to meet our growing demand for premium PEB projects. Key Responsibilities: Production Planning & Control Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules in coordination with the PPC (Production Planning & Control) team. Ensure seamless workflow from raw material receipt to final dispatch of fabricated components. Optimize resource allocation and manpower deployment for maximum efficiency. Steel Fabrication Management Supervise cutting, welding, drilling, and assembly operations for columns, rafters, mezzanine beams, purlins, and other PEB components. Ensure fabrication is as per approved GA and AB drawings with strict adherence to design specifications. Implement best practices in welding techniques and ensure WPS (Welding Procedure Specification) / PQR (Procedure Qualification Records) compliance. Quality Assurance & Control Maintain stringent quality checks at every stage of production. Work closely with the Quality Engineer to monitor material grades (E350, E250, etc.), coating standards (AZ-150, SMP, etc.), and DFT measurements. Ensure structures meet client specifications and international standards. Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and train a team of supervisors, welders, fitters, and operators. Foster a culture of safety, discipline, and continuous improvement on the shop floor. Conduct regular team meetings for performance tracking and issue resolution. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with all BOCW, ESIC, PF, and factory safety regulations. Implement preventive maintenance and safe operating procedures for machines and cranes. Conduct regular safety drills and audits to ensure a hazard-free workplace. Coordination & Reporting Work closely with project managers, PPC team, procurement, and dispatch departments. Track production KPIs, generate MIS reports, and provide weekly updates to management. Resolve bottlenecks and provide solutions for continuous improvement. Desired Candidate Profile: Experience: Minimum 3-10 years in the PEB or heavy steel fabrication industry. Technical Knowledge: PEB component fabrication – rafters, columns, purlins, mezzanine, canopies, etc. Welding techniques (MIG, SAW, SMAW) and QA/QC procedures. Knowledge of surface preparation, painting, and galvanization processes. Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production layouts. Problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, production software, and reporting tools. Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, or Production Engineering preferred. Why Join SModi Infrasteel?
