Introduction The Production Engineer will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring daily production activities in a batch production environment. The role requires strong technical understanding, hands-on shop-floor coordination, experience with SAP and Excel-based reporting, and capability to drive continuous improvement across safety, quality, productivity, and cost. Job Location -Alwar (Rajasthan) What you’ll do 1. Production Planning & Execution Prepare and execute daily/weekly/monthly production plans in coordination with Production Manager. Ensure smooth workflow, material availability, manpower allocation, and machine readiness. Monitor WIP, bottlenecks, and order status to achieve production targets and on-time delivery. Coordinate with sourcing, stores, QA/QC, design, and maintenance teams. 2. Shop-Floor Coordination & Supervision Manage day-to-day production operations for assigned workstations/cells/assembly lines. Ensure adherence to process sheets, SOPs, production drawings, and quality guidelines. Troubleshoot shop-floor issues related to material, manpower, and machines. 3. SAP & Reporting Handle SAP transactions such as production order creation, confirmation, material consumption, and stock updates. Track hourly/daily production data, downtime, rejection, and rework. Prepare Excel-based MIS reports, dashboards, and performance summaries. 4. Quality & Process Improvement Monitor in-process quality and support root-cause analysis for defects and rework. Implement kaizens, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives. Optimize cycle time, layout, production flow, and productivity. 5. Safety & Compliance Conduct routine audits on 5S, housekeeping, safety practices, and tool usage. Promote a culture of safety awareness on the shop floor. 6. Coordination With Cross-Functional Teams Work closely with engineering for drawing deviations and technical clarifications. Coordinate with maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance. Who you are B. Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline. 7-9 Years in batch production, fabrication/assembly, or similar manufacturing setup Proficiency in SAP (PP/MM module) for production-related transactions. Excellent knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis, and MIS reporting. Understanding of lean manufacturing, 5S, kaizen, and production systems. Ability to read technical drawings, BOMs, and process sheets. Strong communication and coordination abilities. Problem-solving mindset with analytical thinking. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under timelines. Team player with leadership qualities to guide operators and technicians.
