Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Production Specialist to manage and optimize the technical aspects of the scrap tire recycling process. The specialist will be responsible for ensuring optimal equipment performance, process efficiency, product quality, and plant productivity, particularly across the tire recycling line which includes the debeader, double shaft shredder, rasper, granulator, and grinding mill.


Key Responsibilities

:

Process Engineering & Optimization:
  • Develop and improve process parameters for each stage of the tire recycling line:
Debeader – steel bead removal
Double Shaft Shredder – primary shredding
Rasper – steel separation and rubber downsizing
Granulator – rubber granule production
Grinding Mill – fine rubber powder production
  • Monitor and optimize throughput, material flow, and energy consumption.
  • Analyse bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma).

Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
  • Provide on-the-ground engineering support to production teams.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues in coordination with maintenance and operations.
  • Recommend equipment upgrades or process changes to improve efficiency and product quality.

Equipment Monitoring & Maintenance Planning:
  • Assist in developing preventive maintenance plans.
  • Monitor equipment conditions, using tools like vibration analysis, temperature sensors, or SCADA systems.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to reduce unplanned downtimes.

Data Analysis & Reporting:
  • Collect and analyse data related to machine performance, material yields, energy usage, and downtime.
  • Maintain production and engineering logs and submit regular reports to management.

Quality & Safety Compliance:
  • Ensure that all production processes meet internal and external quality standards.
  • Contribute to hazard analysis and safety assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety and environmental regulations.

Project & Implementation Support:
  • Participate in commissioning of new equipment or upgrades.
  • Assist in the design, layout, and scaling of production lines.


Qualification

:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/ Mechanical/ Production/ Industrial Engineering, or a related field.


Experience

:

3-5 years of experience in a production or process engineering role, preferably in recycling, rubber processing, or heavy industrial equipment.

Hands-on experience with shredders, mills, and separation technologies is highly desirable.


Skills & Competencies

:

  • Strong knowledge of process engineering, mechanical systems, and material handling.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment manuals.
  • Familiarity with automation systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in production software, MS Excel, and CAD tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
