About the role

Product Manager:

At PolicyBazaar, product managers are at the centre of all the action in building innovative products for the insurance sector of tomorrow. You’d be joining a team of experienced product managers with a track record of successfully building Enterprise products. We collaborate with engineering, design, and customer-facing teams to deliver innovation in insurance technology. You have a bias towards action and will be part of defining what the future of insurance will look like. As the product manager, your work with other product managers and engineering teams to define and deliver features, craft short-term roadmaps, collaborate with scrum teams to own the timelines and understand how our customers will interface with our products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Strategy & Execution: Own the product roadmap and drive projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs
• Customer Experience: Champion the customer perspective throughout the product lifecycle; gather and analyze customer feedback, conduct user research, and translate insights into product improvements. Serve as the voice of the customer internally; prioritize features based on customer value and business impact
• Stakeholder Management: Coordinate effectively with engineering, design, QA, operations, BUs, and leadership teams to ensure seamless product delivery
• Technical Collaboration: Work closely with backend engineering teams to understand system architecture, APIs, and technical constraints
• Data Analysis: Query databases (SQL) to extract insights, analyze user behavior, customer engagement metrics, and make data-informed product decisions
• Requirements Definition: Create detailed product requirements, user stories, customer journey maps, and basic wireframes to communicate product vision
• AI Integration: Leverage AI tools and construct effective prompts to enhance product features, automate workflows, and improve customer experience
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate with testing teams to define test cases, acceptance criteria, and ensure product quality before release

Required Qualifications:

• 4-5 years of product management experience in a technology-driven environment
• Strong product knowledge with a proven track record of successful product launches
• Customer experience focus: Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs, improve user satisfaction, and drive customer-centric product decisions
• Technical proficiency: Understanding of backend systems, APIs, databases, and system architecture
• Data skills: Ability to write SQL queries and derive analytical insights from data
• AI familiarity: Experience with AI tools and prompt engineering for practical applications
• Design aptitude: Capability to create basic wireframes, mockups, and user flows
• Domain expertise: Deep understanding of [specific industry/domain]
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong project management abilities with focus on driving results
• Experience with product management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Figma, etc.)
• Background in agile/scrum methodologies
• Familiarity with A/B testing, experimentation frameworks, and customer feedback tools
• Technical background or engineering degree
